DeRozan Officially Signs Contract Extension with Raptors

Shooting guard DeMar DeRozan has officially signed a 5-year, $139 million contract extension with the Toronto Raptors.

DeRozan, 26, has been in the NBA for 7 seasons, all with the Raptors. He is coming off of a season in which he played in 78 games and averaged 35.9 minutes per game, 23.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game, 0.3 blocks per game, and 1.0 steal per game. He shot 44.6% from the field, 33.8% from 3-point range, and 85.0% from the free throw line.

Over his 7-year NBA career, DeRozan has played in 521 games and averaged 33.9 minutes per game, 18.1 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, 0.3 blocks per game, and 0.9 steals per game. His career shooting percentages are 44.2% from the field, 28.3% from 3-point range, and 82.5% from the free throw line.
