2017 Home Run Derby Predictions

The 2017 Home Run Derby matchups have been set. The Home Run Derby will take place on Monday, July 10th, at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN. Here are the 1st round matchups, and my predictions for them and for both of the following two rounds.

The rules for this year’s Home Run Derby are the same as last year’s.

 

ROUND 1

No. 1 seed i-3 Giancarlo Stanton, Miami Marlins, vs.
No. 8 seed  Gary Sanchez, New York Yankees

Prediction: i-3 Giancarlo Stanton, 14,  Gary Sanchez, 13

 

No. 4 seed  Mike Moustakas, Kansas City Royals, vs.
No. 5 seed  Miguel Sano, Minnesota Twins

Prediction:  Miguel Sano, 15,  Mike Moustakas, 12

 

No. 3 seed  Cody Bellinger, Los Angeles Dodgers, vs.
No. 6 seed  Charlie Blackmon, Colorado Rockies

Prediction: Cody Bellinger, 16,  Charlie Blackmon, 15

 

No. 2 seed  Aaron Judge, New York Yankees, vs.
No. 7 seed i-3 Justin Bour, Miami Marlins

Prediction:  Aaron Judge, 13, i-3 Justin Bour, 12

 

 

ROUND 2

No. 1 seed i-3 Giancarlo Stanton, Miami Marlins, vs.

No. 5 seed  Miguel Sano, Minnesota Twins

No. 2 seed  Aaron Judge, New York Yankees, vs.

No. 3 seed  Cody Bellinger, Los Angeles Dodgers
