NFL Week 16 Injuries

  • i-15Oakland Raiders Quarterback (QB) Derek Carr: Fractured his fibula in his right leg. He did have a successful surgery and recovery time is typically six-eight weeks but it all depends on how Carr feels. Raiders will start QB Matt McGloin and rookie Connor Cook will be the backup
  • i-11Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota: Just like Carr, Mariota fractured his right fibula and was placed on injured-reserve (IR). He will undergo surgery. QB Matt Cassel will start for the last game of the season with while Alex Tanney will likely be the backup
  • i-28Seattle Seahawks Wide Receiver (WR) Tyler Lockett: Not only did Lockett tear his right fibula like Carr and Mariota, he tore his tibia while trying to catch a touchdown. Lockett had a successful surgery and was placed on IR.
  • i-5Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III: Suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter and is currently in the league’s concussion protocol. As of now, it is unclear if Griffin will start in the final game, head coach Hue Jackson would likely start rookie Cody Kessler to be safe with the situation
  • iNew York Jets QB Bryce Petty: Suffered a left shoulder injury in the second quarter, which was torn labrum and will require surgery. He was placed on IR and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will start over rookie Christian Hackenberg
