Oklahoma City vs. Golden State Game 7

Down 3-1 in the series, the Golden State Warriors have a chance to cap off their comeback bid in their own building tonight at 9 P.M. ET.  As expected, their last victory came thanks to hot shooting, with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combining for 72 points.

On the other side, the Oklahoma City Thunder have two arguably top-ten players in Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.  Westbrook, specifically, will be the focal point for Oklahoma City.  In Game Six, he scored 28 points and was a rebound shy of a triple-double (10+points, rebounds, and assists).

In the end, the game will come down to whoever is the better point guard–Curry or Westbrook.  While Curry does have better teammates, Westbrook has the ability to carry his team almost entirely on his own.  Curry’s hot shooting won him the Most Valuable Player award, but Westbrook can play like a freak of nature when he is on his game.

One huge advantage for Golden State is that they are playing in Oracle Arena, where they went 39-2 in the regular season.  If they can feed off of their crowd, they’ll be nearly invincible.

In the end, I believe that the Golden State Warriors will win, simply because they have the home court advantage.  I predict Westbrook will be his usual playoff self, putting up ridiculous numbers, but in the end, it won’t be enough for Oklahoma City to win.

Final score prediction: Warriors 106, Thunder 102

  1. For some reason deep in my soul I think this game won’t be one to remember and some team is going to get blown out and not the close game like game 6 that we want
