Leicester City has drawn 1-1 with Manchester United earlier today. Man U’s first goal came off of a volley from a cross from Antonio Valencia where Anthony Martial tapped it into the back of the net past Kasper Schmiechel. Leicester replied quickly when center back Wes Morgan scored a bouncing header off a cross from Daniel Drinkwater.

With 77 points now, Leicester City is within striking range of capturing the BPL title. The following are scenarios from the Foxes to take the 2016 title.

  • Leicester draw at Manchester United on Sunday AND Tottenham draw or lose at Chelsea on Monday.

OR

  • Tottenham lose at Chelsea on Monday, regardless of Leicester’s result at Manchester United on Sunday.

The only club that might stand a chance is Tottenham Hotspur. With 69 points and one less game played than Leicester, here are their odds.

  • Tottenham win in their next three matches (@CHE, vs SOU, @NEW) AND Leicester lose their last games (vs EVE, @ CHE.

It’s a stretch, but it is still possible for Mauricio Poccettino and the Spurs to claim the title over Leicester City.

Tottenham play Chelsea at 3:00 PM EST at Stamford Bridge on Monday the 2nd.
