Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Kevin Durant was ejected  late in the Thunder’s game 4 Western Conference Quarterfinal 119-108 victory in Dallas over the Mavericks for appearing to slap Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Justin Anderson in the face during a shot from underneath the basket.

There were under 2 minutes to go in this game when Kevin Durant, who had 17 points, made a bucket and drew a foul on the shot to put him at 19 points. He then missed the free throw, and earned himself a flagrant 2 foul during the situation described above.

The disciplinary action against those who commit flagrant 2 fouls includes being ejected from the game, and possible suspension. Durant was ejected, leaving him with 19 points, ending his streak of 67 games with 20+ points.

Durant had not scored less than 20 points in a game since November 10th, 2015, when he scored 14 points in just under 17 minutes before injuring his leg in a game in Washington against the Wizards. The Thunder won that game by a score of 125-101.

The Thunder hung on to win the game over the Mavericks and took a 3-1 series lead. The teams will head to Oklahoma City for game 5 on the night of Monday, April 25th.
