Red Sox Lose to Rays in High Scoring Affair

With a less-than-stellar performance from ace David Price, the Boston Red Sox fell to the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays.  The Rays’ offense was running on all cylinders, with 15 hits.  The Red Sox matched that total with 15 hits themselves, yet still were unable to come away with the victory.

This loss for the Red Sox puts their record the same as the Rays; 7-8.  The AL East looks like it will be the same dominant division it was circa 2000.  The Baltimore Orioles are 9-4, yet have lost 4 of their last 6 games.  The New York Yankees, who started off on the wrong foot, will likely make a mid-season comeback this year.  And, of course, the Toronto Blue Jays still have one of the best rosters in baseball, with MVP Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, and Troy Tulowitzki.
