Chicago White Sox ace pitcher Chris Sale stated in an interview earlier today that him and his teammates were lied to by Vice President Kenny Williams.  When telling players about the conflict with designated hitter Adam LaRoche, Sale said that Williams told 3 different stories on why LaRoche’s son would not be allowed in the clubhouse anymore.

Sale stated, “We got bald-faced lied to by someone that we trust.  This isn’t us rebelling against the rules, it’s us rebelling against B.S.”

LaRoche was prompted to retire after learning that his son would not be given access to the clubhouse.  He feels that it went against the agreement he made with the White Sox after signing his contract with them last season. LaRoche would have made $13 million this year in the final year of his 2-year contract.
